Roller derby fan who is taking up skating as a past time. Eventually want to work up some skills. The ladies on the team recommended these pads, and they're definitely worth the price! Just starting out, I planned on doing a lot of falling, and teaching myself how to stop "derby style." And falling was really scary...until I got the Pro 187s! They're like falling on kittens! I can't feel a thing, and after a while, I was purposely falling, teaching myself how to land on my knees rather than my bum. I actually look forward to falling now. The pads themselves fit great: not too bulky for women, easy to move in, easy to get on and off and still stay put while skating. Be sure to use the measurement chart for finding a proper size! Highly recommended for derby girls, and people who love derby who just want to skate.

After a few dozen knee stops on some sub-quality knee pads, my knees got pretty banged up. Enter the 187 Pros. These protect you like no other. Other people have told me they are like "falling on clouds". They were not exaggerating. I hesitated at first, because they were so much more, but now I will never look back. Spend the money. Get them when you see your size in stock, because everyone's selling out of them. They are machine washable too, so after you stink them up, you can get them clean again!
