The Omega is quickly becomign the wheel fo choice amongst jammers. The narrow profile (62mm x 38mm) allows for nimble maneuvering and footwork. Designed for jamskating, the girls of flat track derby have decided that they're taking it for themselves, and you don't care what anyone else thinks, do you?

i have been skating derby for over 3 years, and have tried tons of wheels.i fell in love with these the moment i first put them on.they are the greatest wheels i've ever had,so much that i have several pairs that i rotate out-they do go bald fairly quick, but are pretty affordable so it doesn't bother me.i am 5'4 112 lbs,so i'm a pretty light jammer, and very hoppy, and these wheels only make me hoppier.

I've been playing derby with these wheels for the past year. I absolutely love them. I switched to the Heartless Creeper/ Stalker combo for two weeks, but decided that I liked these much more. Grippy for the most part, but not too grippy (I'm a jammer and don't like too much grip. I'm 5'9 155 pounds). My pusher wheels are now bald, but did not go bald as fast as any other wheels I've had. These are great wheels.

I have had these for about 6 months and they are all ready starting to bald. And i slip and slid a lot on sport courts. I would NOT recommended them for derby. Other than that they would be fine.

I skate mostley with my kids (3 and 5). Don't do roller derbey or anything like that. So you know where I'm coming from: I sometimes trip myslef up (I'm not that good). I wanted narrower wheels so i could move around my feet eaiser so I figured softer wheels with extra grip were ok since they were narrower. I think soft wheels 44mm wide would be too much grip for me and I would end up on the floor too much. These wheels however seem to be perfect. Narrower with X-grip. I feel like i'm floating on the floor with them and they are sooooo smooth! Deffinetly 5 stars from my prespective. I think someone that corners super hard and fast would want wider wheels. I only corner moderatley fast. For me they are absolutley perfect.

While they are fantastic wheels (despite having plenty of air bubbles) they totally lack the grip I need for derby. I spend most practices fighting to keep from flying out.
