I bought these skates 5 years ago after not skating for years. I grew up skating so my expectations were high. I have found these skates to be very good quality. I skate two to three times a week now and they are still in great shape after 5 plus years. I just now decided to upgrade my wheels and bearings. I bought the Atom Juke 2.0 88a and juice 9 bearings and it just makes me enjoy them more. I don't think of these as Derby skates but know of plenty of people using them with little to no problems. Great skates for the price, so much so I just bought my girlfriend a pair of the R3's.

I just got these 2 months ago for derby and I am not too happy. The uppers are not not breaking in nicely, they are listed as leather but I doubt they really are, they are still stiff and not at all broken in (I skate 2-3x per week) The toes are already worn down.Also the wheels are lousy, I already ordered replacements. I should have spent more money and bought better boots, because I feel like I will be ordering better ones soon.

I bought my 7 yr old the carreras back in jan. and he loves thim. all kids want them, i would suggest them all day :)

This is the most comfortable skate I have ever worn. They're fast, nimble, and comfy. The trucks are flexible enough for fast maneuverability, stable enough to hold fast turns. The bearings are smooth (although I am thinking of slapping some red/bones in there), the wheels grippy, and they look awesome, too. The first time I wore them, they felt like I'd been skating in them for years, like, broken in, familiar, perfect. I felt confident on them from the first ride, allowing me to pull out all the stops and skate with my usual flair with only minimal adjustment (bearings are always tight coming from the factory, so loosened them a tiny bit before hitting the floor).
