I bought these for my daughter whom we have been teaching to skate for about 6 weeks now. They made a huge difference in her skating session today over the rental skates we had been using. Smooth ride, very precise ABEC 7 bearings for easier push and longer wheel spin time. The wheels are wide so the stance of the skate is wider than a rental skate, allowing greater balance. The shoe is well padded, almost to the point of being tight, but that will wear into a very comfortable shoe over time. And she wore them today for over 3 hours and had no pain or blisters even though they were brand new. I have no regrets over buying these skates. They are very nice, well made, and look great! By the way, don't buy into ABEC bearings simply because people say they are fast. That is not what ABEC means. It is a measurement of how precise the bearings are in roundness. That allows you to move the wheels easier but it doesn't make you faster. Only your strength will do that.
