It took me about an hour to break them in after that they're pretty darn good easy to go fast in. Its a good idea to have the "reflix" skate tool with you to adjust thinks to your likeness. The padding is good on the tounge and upper sides. It could use some more on the bottom so wear thick socks. I like these skates after breaking them in there good, also has good grip the strap on the skate is good also I like it.
