Finally got these any they are beyond awesome. grip right out of the packaging. A few things to know before you buy these. If you skate on a rink that is usually warm and grippy, i would recommend the natural or pink (hard) wheels. and if you skate on a rink that is usually cold, or sometimes slippery, I would recommend the green ones for more grip and tracktion. Still if you're a speed/jam skater, these wheels are a must have.

I have a set of the green shamans and they were great right out of the package. I have been skating derby with them 3 times a week on sport court or super slick polished concrete and they are good for both floors.

I have had so many diffrent wheels over the past 41 years of skating, zinggers,huggers, head hunters,witch docs,and even green shaman, The white shaman have gripped better than any other wheel I have owned, Been on white shaman for six mounths and no real sign of wear,and my weight is 275lbs and I don't skate easy.

Impressive! Green Shamans had pretty significant grip right out of the wrapper. After not speed skating in close to 20 years, my old yellow jumbo Labeda fanjets were just not getting it done. Pleased with the instant grip and smooth roll. Reminds me of the wicked lips from the early 90's with the design and larger hub. Great wheel for winter and training! I had a set of Hyper HeadHunters that got a little slick after being stored in a closet for about 15 years. They got a bit grippy after using them for a few hours, but I figured it was time to upgrade. Sure-Grip took over manufacturing Hyper wheels, so I was a little leery. I ordered a set of whites that had just become available. After about 45 minutes of breaking them in, I was keeping up with the fast kids on roller blades. I couldn't do that with my green HeadHunters. After a couple of hours, these things were like they were glued to the floor. The kids on the rollerblades gave up trying to catch me after that. I was hitting corners so hard that my knees were hurting the next day. I'm a 210 pound 44 year old, so passing those younger kids felt really good. I wouldn't hesitate recommending these for a second. Pick up a decent set of bearings, if you don't already have a set, and you should be good to go (and go fast.)
