Great skate for the money! However, to get an even better skate, I would recommend keeping the boot and plates and replacing the wheels (lots of friction due to lightup magnets) and bearings with Fame wheels and Bones Reds. You will then have truly awesome kids skates for your little one. The cost of the extras should run about $55. Your call.
