I will say this been skating on them since 91 and have broke them over and over. But this company said when i got them in 91 if you break them they would replace them. I have to say I went hard and big on them. So over the years they changed them up where I couldnt break them. The only thing I say is stock up on trucks they will break before plate will. So i just upgraded my trucks no problem since then...best for the money and light as can be.

Great for some, but not for me.

I've skated derby on these plates for almost three years, and have three main problems with them:
1. The pivot cups. I've broken three. And "universal" pivot cups are a joke to these skates. You know what's not that great? Skates with pivot cups rigged from rubber tubing.
2. The reverse kingpin things. You can NOT adjust the trucks with a nutdriver-- it takes a screwdriver and a very thin wrench (I machined one down to make it fit). This makes adjusting trucks way more of a pain and can wear your parts out if you don't get the screw, bushing setup, and bottom nut all working together. The hardest-to-adjust trucks I've EVER worked on.
3. These plates are super long, at least on a size 7 skate, longer than any other non-high-end plates for that size. After getting used to this plate length, I'm going nuts trying to find a plate I'm at all comfortable with-- these run 3/4 inch longer than Probe OR PowerDyne plates for that size.
Just sayin'.

This plate rocks! I've skated both high end Prolines & Roll-lines, & this plate compares in durability & responsiveness, but for far less $$. It's also super lightweight which is an added bonus. The only thing it may lack is the "bling factor."

I have used the Nova for 15 years; skated many events and it keeps on working. I have never adjusted the trucks or bent an axle. For the money you can't go wrong.
