The boots are comfortable, with the notable exception of the very common lack of any cushioning on the bottom (why do skates not have this? I put the insole to an old pair of sneakers in, and they are not only more comfortable, but I feel I have better control, because my feet don't slip/slide inside the boot). I'll give them that.
The bearings are okay. They don't have much spin when rolled by hand, but they don't feel like they are holding me back on the floor, really. They don't seem as fast as the bones reds in my old skates, but I imagine a bit of loosening and perhaps some lube will correct that.
The wheels are a bit harder/less grippy than I am used to, but even that can be overcome with time and getting accustomed to them.
But, since they seemed to fit okay, I took them to the rink and tried them out. The trucks were too stiff, to where I felt I had no control/maneuverability, so I loosened them, and, well, they felt GREAT! So I skated for ONE session, of about 2.5 hours, and when removing the skates, I noted that over the outside left front wheel, the plate had been worn almost 1/3 through where the wheel had touched the plate in turns. WTF?! Who ever heard of the wheel touching the plate?! And worn that much in one session?! In a month, maybe less, I will have worn through the plate, rendering the skates useless. Cheap. A complete waste.
A shame really, because after the few minor adjustments I'd made, they did feel and skate very well, and especially at such a price, seemed a bargain.

I had these skates for 2 months and the bolt that holds the wheels on broke in half. I would like to thank RC sports (supplier) for replacing the skates and even getting me a different size and color. These skates run really big, I would recommend going down 2 sizes for a good fit if you do not have wide feet. When it comes to the feel of the skate and performance they are a great buy, especially for the price. Have fun and skate hard.

My skates just came in YES!!!!! The boot is wide for big feet a bonus. but the wheels are slick and the laces are a little too small. I think though a perfect sized skate for a 12 foot and actually if you get the 12 its more like a 12/5 size boot. shipping was a little slow but the customer service was great. detail specs the toe stop fits a 5/8 thread which it doesnt tellyou but overall a perfect skate

I bought these skates about a week ago. The boot is very nice, not to mention it is bolted to the plate, which is a big plus. The bolts that connect the trucks to the plate are very short, which means that there is very little adjustment that you can make to these. If you're a beginner skater with very little money, these would be great beginner skates. However if you're a pro or skate all the time, I'd recommend a little more money spent on a better skate. All in all I'd give them a 4 simply for the fact that it is bolted not riveted like many of the other skates. BTW I recieved these skates in 1 day, thanks so much lowpriceskates, your shipping rocks!!!
