Nothing else even compares to these

I had no idea how much of a difference great bearings made. My old ABEC 9 bearings are like a yugo compared to these. After using them one time I ordered up a second pair so I would not have to switch out my bearings when I changed wheels (Radar Devil Rays) due to changes in the skating surface. I will never go back to anything less than these.

The Hype

I upgraded with these from Bones Swiss about 1 1/2 years ago. I really could not tell a difference between the two. My 1st upgrade was from ABEC 3 to Bones Swiss... HUGE Difference! I have destroyed 4 Bones Ceramic bearings since the BONES-TO-CERAMIC upgrade... where as I never damaged any Bones Swiss bearings. Yeah, Yeah.. I am comparing the two. Truthly speaking, I will eventually down grade back to Bones Swiss due to the difference in cost $$$$ is and was not justified / felt / experience between the performance of these two type of bearings. On any note, Bones Ceramics still gets 5 stars.

Iv had ceramics for a good <but I wanted to really get a fell for them before I felt my review. First if there is a huge different of the ABEC 7. The ride IS much smoother and the rubber sheild does keed the dirt out awesomely. You dont have to worry about breaking them theey are very strong. Worth every penny. 10 of 10

The Best
(Unknown) 11/29/2007 9:49 AM
I purchased a set of Ceramics and they have the quickest and longest roll of any bearing on the market. They are pricey but worth every penny. I have skated with Bones/Powell Peralta products since the '70's.

These Are The Bearings to Get!!!!

I have skated on Bones swiss and Ceramics, and personally the ceramics are much better. Ceramics give a much smoother ride and do not cause friction. Less friction means less heat and a faster roll. Ceramics are the only way to go!!!!! Jon-ARKANSAS SPEED

Quiet & smooth
(Unknown) 8/12/2007 1:53 AM
I've been skating on ABEC 7 bearings for years, but finally decided to spring for Ceramic "skate rated" bearings. After installing them and spinning them in my hand, the first thing I noticed is that they are VERY quiet, practically silent. Skating on them gives a noticeably smoother ride. I would not call it a night & day difference to the ABEC 7's I had been using, but it is a smoother ride for sure. Finally, the rubber shields are easy to remove for cleaning and easy to put back on. They also do a very good job of keeping dirt out to begin with, especially the labyrinth shields. I used the Bones bearing cleaner vessel with acetone to clean and Bones speed cream to lubricate. (Just one drop per bearing). Recommended for the smooth ride, and highly recommended for the ease of cleaning.
