Most uncomfortable skate ever

I am a vegetarian and I don't buy leather, so these skates were my choice. I can't get them broken in to save my life. They kill my ankles, have no give whatsoever, and they have been collecting dust for almost a year now. I want to sell them on EBay but feel guilty about it because they suck so bad. I am probably going to have to break down and buy leather when my old used Carreras finally fall apart. These skates are totally not worth the money.

I have no complaints about these skates. . .I'm new at derby but did artistic roller skating when I was younger so I know what a skate should feel like and I have zero complaints about these-worth the money!

It took me awhile to break in these skates and they absolutely tore up my ankles in the process. I've skated these boots for about five months now and I've learned to love them and they've learned to love my ankles. Worth the money, but ditch those wheels.

Great skates!!! They don't get all stretched out like other synthetic skates. They are still a little tight in the toe area for me but No Pain No Gain!!! I would defiantly recommend these to anyone!

I am in my second season of derby. I started with the R3's which I still use for outside. This is just a better boot. It took me much longer (3 weeks) to break them in and get used to them, but I love them. You can tell that they are just a better boot that the other synthetic material. I love the plates.
Great derby skate def worth the money.

I am a vegetarian so i think these skates could be awesome....only thing is if i am spending the money on it and being that i play derby boots end up getting roughed up easily in this sport, i have heard alot of rumors that the non-leather boots dont last long at all....does anyone have any first hand experience with this?

I didn't buy this skate, but really want to know how it is! Review it immediantly after you start skating in it but please come back and tell us after you have skated them for a while! How do they hold up?
