I just got them today in the mail so excited. So these are my intial observations being a derby skater for a year and having Riedell Carrera's for that time. These are way more padded which is awesome, they are also super stiff which is kinda scarey, I am hoping to break them in quick. My only complaint is the abec 9 bearings don't have as much roll as I am used to with swiss china bones so I think I will switch them out. So far so good. I am so proud to rock animal friendly skates!! Oh and they come with two pairs of Vegan toe guards (wish I knew I went out and bought some) and a pair of laces, but no skate tool :(

I've had these boots for less than 7 months. I am rough on them because I do derby, but they are completely falling apart. I'm angry that I spent so much money on something that isn't going to last a year. Also, I don't have narrow feet, but they are way too wide for me. Break-in time is over a month.

I am a vegetarian and I don't buy leather, so these skates were my choice. I can't get them broken in to save my life. They kill my ankles, have no give whatsoever, and they have been collecting dust for almost a year now. I want to sell them on EBay but feel guilty about it because they suck so bad. I am probably going to have to break down and buy leather when my old used Carreras finally fall apart. These skates are totally not worth the money.

I have no complaints about these skates. . .I'm new at derby but did artistic roller skating when I was younger so I know what a skate should feel like and I have zero complaints about these-worth the money!

It took me awhile to break in these skates and they absolutely tore up my ankles in the process. I've skated these boots for about five months now and I've learned to love them and they've learned to love my ankles. Worth the money, but ditch those wheels.
