Just got back into skating, I know $300 isn't a lot To spend for some people, but for me it is. I respected riedell growing up and thought they were the same great company. Overall I like the skates, they beat the r3 I got when first returning, but not much more. The skates arrived looking used? Lot of scuffs and marks, the logo on the strap was not there at all and the logos on the side of the boot look like they were spray painted on. Rs1000 was what I always wanted growing up, now at age 30 I'm not so sure. I know they say made in America, but it looks like chinesse stuff to me. I bought these knowing that the plate and wheels need to be upgraded, but I feel like I bought 150 dollar skates. On the side though, low priced skate was great to deal with. I will buy from them again. I'll just do more research on what I want beforehand

Overall I thought that these were a pretty good pair of skates. The boot fit very well and is very comfortable. The only problem I had were the pivot cups. They didn't seem to fit right and seemed too small. I had an extra set though, fixed 'em right up, tightend up the trucks and they were great.

I had the Riedell R3's and was pretty fast on a 100m track with times low as 13.7. I got the hammer and now im running 12.5 with the green wheels. I love these skates great buy!!!!!

The RS1000 boot is awesome, the plates and trucks are sturdy. ABEC 7 is not a bad place to start. The wheels are a bit hard for my taste. Also toe stops should come standard for a derby skate. For a general purchase thats upgradeable it's good for the price.

The skates were even better then what I thought. They were rated as abec 7 but when I got them they were abec 9. WOW! Skated for the first time with them yesturday and they were so smooth. 2nd pair of skates I have bought from them and great both times. I tell all my freinds about them.
