These are decent skates, especially for a beginner. Good for the money and probably great for a casual skater. Probably not something you'll want to skate derby on for very long.
Pros: They're lightweight and comfortable and they can take a beating.
Cons: These stretch like crazy as they break in. Mine were comfy when I bought them and within three months my feet were swimming in them, even with insoles. Consider buying a half size lower than you think you need.

Im on my third pair and I'm the type of dancer but then I go fast too. My first two pairs were great, then when I got my third pair I noticed that the trucks were wobbly.I tightened them and that did the trick but when I was skating indoors, I got all done and noticed that my boot had ripped. It ripped at the heel of the bottom rubber/plastic part and my sole. The rivet didn't break, the boot just came apart.I think that that was a bad batch or something.very comfortable though, I recommend for beginner to intermediate type kids who want to go fast.

I bought these after wearing the R3s for a while. They are very clunky & light weight because of the plastic truck & toestop. Great if you have an extra wide foot, but swallowed up my foot in padding. I play derby, some of the other girls swear by them, i need something with a stronger hold on my foot and heavier.

Wearing my third pair of Rocks!

A fantastic freestyle or rythm dance skate. Rock Tri-Flames as well as the GT-40 are the widest footbed available in the under $150 price range.
If you have narrow feet choose another skate. But if you need the ultimate comfort bed and have trouble with pinched feet the Rocks are the only choice.
I'm on my third pair only because I tend to destroy them by the many falls I take dancing on outdoor concrete.
Only gripe is the truck cusions are way too hard for dancing and must be replaced with the softest rubber cusions right from the start. Actually, this is a problem with all ready to skate setups.
I won't buy any other skate for what I do. I always keep an extra new pair ready in the box so I never have to be without them.
