My Classics are part of a custom build bought when I was 16 or 17, and I still skate on them 30 years later (with new cushions, of course). They do weigh a lot but they're good plates and rather than change plates, I'm planning on changing boots to lose a little of that weight. The 7mm axles make replacing bearings a little of a hassle but overall I plan to skate them till I can't skate anymore.

I have this plate for more than 20 years and it's still in good condition. I am harsh on my equipment and do a lot of crazy move like parallel and one footed hockey stop. The only drawback is this plate is really heavy and I am thinking to get something lighter and I am getting old.

These are great plates. I like my trucks extremely loose, and the adjustable pivot lets me get them just the way I want them. Now I'm back to doing some of my old tricks, and a very smooth "grapevine". Very nice action!

I am on my second pair of "Classics". I had my first pair when I was 13 years old. I used many wheels and bearings on a pair Riedell Royal boots. They withstood daily use for fifteen years and when my feet got too big for them, the next guy is still using them. My new classics are heavy, I have big feet, maybe someday I will go to a lightweight product, but if your young and hard on equipment, these are tough and perform well for rinking and outdoor use.

Working at a rink I depend heavily on my equipment. This plate affords the versatility I need. Whether I am doing figures,Dance moves. Or chasing down the local rink rats on a friday night teen skate. An excellent plate all around.
